Allied Bakeries Ireland win Makro sole supplier contract
Northern Ireland's biggest bakery Allied Bakeries Ireland has been named as the sole supplier of bakery products to Makro Belfast.
The announcement of the deal, which is worth an estimated £1 million per year, coincides with the re-opening of the Makro store that has recently undergone a massive refurbishment.
Gerry Cassidy, National Account Manager for Allied Bakeries Ireland, believes that the deal will be beneficial to both the retailer and the consumer. He said: "This new contract between Allied Bakeries Ireland and Makro is an excellent deal for both the retailer and the customer. It is the result of a strong trading relationship between our two companies.
"As the market leader, Allied Bakeries Ireland are excellently positioned in the Northern Ireland market to be able to provide Makro with our leading products as well as an innovative new product development programme.
"The range of product has been tailored to fit the market trends and customer demands and we expect that this will contribute significantly to the future growth of our respective businesses."
