Kilrea man shot in front of family

A 26-year-old man has been shot in front of his family in a paramilitary-style attack in County Londonderry.

The man is in hospital after being shot in both ankles by an armed gang of four men who forced their way into his Kilrea home on Monday, February 11.

Three of the men were armed with iron bars, the fourth with a gun. The man was hit over the head with an iron bar before he was shot in both ankles.

The victim's wife and two daughters, aged seven and 18-months-old, witnessed the attack.

A 28-year-old man has been shot in the leg in a gun attack in County Down. The man was getting out of his car at the Quays in Killyleagh at about 1.00am on Wednesday morning when a man approached him and shot him. The man is recovering in hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

A man shot dead in West Belfast on Saturday 18 December has been named as 31-year-old Mark Hall. According to police, two gunmen approached Mr Hall's family home on Rodney Drive shortly after 4:30pm.

Man shot in ankles during paramilitary-style attack
A man has been taken to hospital after he was shot in a paramilitary-style shooting in north Belfast last night. The man was shot in both ankles by masked men at around 7.20pm in Victoria Parade in the New Lodge area. The SDLP's North Belfast assembly member, Alban Maginness, said: "I completely condemn this paramilitary-style attack.
