VW Golf Named Best Business Car

The latest Volkswagen Golf has been voted Business Car of the Year by the readers of BusinessCar magazine.

The BusinessCar Awards are the only awards in the market that are solely decided by the readership. This makes them the most influential in the business car arena.

Alongside the Golf winning Business Car of the Year, the other headline categories went to BMW, which picked up not only Manufacturer of the Year but also the Environmental Award for its market-leading Efficient Dynamics package, while Service Supplier of the Year went to leasing giant Lex Autolease.

BMW also picked up five category awards, including class wins for the 3- and 5-series models, while prestige German rival Audi took three prizes.

The Volkswagen Golf has always been a favourite among business car operators thanks to a combination of brand prestige and appeal, great running costs and a good drive, and the new Golf has built handsomely on those foundations.

"It’s no surprise that such a desirable and popular product was voted Business Car of the Year by the people whose organisations depend on making the right choices – the BusinessCar readers," said BusinessCar Editor Paul Barker.

"The BusinessCar Awards take the temperature of the corporate arena as they’re decided by those people experiencing and relying on the products and services on a daily basis," said Mr Barker.

"Congratulations to all our winners on the huge endorsement from the industry that is attached to a BusinessCar Award."
