Haiti Fund Gets Musical Boost
As events in Haiti turn from devastating tragedy to worse, Northern Ireland musicians are pulling together to organise a mammoth fund-raising event on Sunday January 31st.
The all-day gig will feature some 50 acts playing simultaneously across the Spring and Airbrake, the Limelight and Katy Dalys with our best live bands and DJ's donating their considerable talents to the cause.
Among the bands giving up their time to take part are The Answer (pictured), General Fiasco, In Case Of Fire, Joe Echo, Panama Kings, Ben Glover, Olympic Lifts, Mojo Fury, Dutch Schultz, Pocket Billiards, Cashier No 9, Tin Pot Operation, Black Bear Saloon and the long awaited first gig of the Suicide Dolphin Bombers.
There will also be a number of DJs spinning the nightclub atmosphere with Stuart Baile, Faux DJs, Helter Skelter DJs, Ed Zealous and Shag all taking to the decks.
Back in 2005 a similar event was held raising a total of £18,084.64 for the Tsunami appeal.
This will be one of the biggest nights in Belfast this year, and an easy way to contribute to the desperate relief effort for the people of Haiti.
Belfast 4 Haiti will take place in The Limelight, Spring & Airbrake and Katy Dalys on Sunday January 31st 2010, tickets are priced £10 and are available, commission free, in Katy Dalys bar or Ticketmaster.
See: www.Belfast4Haiti.com for full line-up and details.
