New 'All Weather' Škoda Haldex
With its fourth-generation Haldex clutch four-wheel drive, the new Škoda Superb Estate 4x4 offers award winning comfort and safety, whatever the weather.
Available with 1.8 TSI 160bhp and 3.6 V6 260bhp petrol engines as well as the 2.0 TDI CR 170bhp diesel, the Superb Estate 4x4 can tackle the sort of slippery conditions that would leave its two-wheel drive competitors stranded.
The system transfers torque to whichever wheels have the most traction by taking signals from the ABS sensors, greatly increasing driving safety in the type of snowy and icy conditions that have gripped the UK this winter.
But the Superb Estate 4x4's capabilities aren't limited to wintery conditions.
In the summer months the 4x4 technology will ensure that pulling trailers and caravans is easier, safer and more enjoyable than ever.
The Superb Estate is already the holder of Top Gear Magazine's 'Luxury Car of the Year' Award, despite not going on sale until 26 February 2010, and the availability of four-wheel drive only adds to its broad appeal.
Prices start at £22,420 for the Superb Estate 1.8 TSI 160bhp 4x4 SE.
With the Octavia Estate 4x4, Octavia Scout, Yeti 4x4 and the Superb Hatch and Estate 4x4, Škoda offers a broad range of four-wheel drive models for all needs and conditions.

Jeep Scoops 4x4 Awards
Jeep has dominated the winners’ podium by claiming first place in three of 4x4 Magazine’s six award categories – Extreme, SUV and Budget 4x4 of the Year. 4x4 Magazine reviewed the top 4x4s on sale in the UK for their annual ‘4x4 of the Year 2010’ test at Baden Hall, near Eccleshall.

Croydon’s First Škoda Retailer
SG Smith has brought the ‘Manufacturer of Happy Drivers’ to Croydon with the launch of its Škoda showroom. In addition to offering the full range of Škoda models, including the recently unveiled Superb Estate, the retailer has also created 17 new jobs in the area, helping to boost the local economy.
