Northwest entrepreneurs wanted for business roadshow
LEDU and Enterprise Northern Ireland have put out a call to all potential and existing entrepreneurs in the northwest to visit the Personal Enterprise Roadshow in the Millennium Forum, Londonderry on February 23 and 24.
In association with Enterprise Ireland and the Donegal, Sligo and Leitrim County Enterprise Boards, the event, the first of its kind to be held in the northwest, follows on from the successful Roadshow held last October in the Odyssey Arena, Belfast.
Speaking of the event, Gerard Finnegan, Manager LEDU North Western Regional Office said: “Over 2,000 people attended the Personal Enterprise Road Show in Belfast, of which 700 requested immediate follow up support from their local support agency network.
"Five hundred of those people indicated that they wished to set up a business within the next 12 months. Anyone who has ever considered the personal potential of self employment and starting their own business should make a visit to this event a must.”
Brian Murray, Chairman of Enterprise Northern Ireland – the Association of Local Enterprise Agencies said: “The primary objective of Enterprise Northern Ireland is to make Northern Ireland more enterprising and innovative. The Personal Enterprise Show is the perfect way to do this. The approach works particularly well as it involves all the key partners in enterprise development working together which improves the overall level of service to potential entrepreneurs.”
Encouraging anyone who had ever considered the option setting up their own business to visit the event, Meabh Conaghan, Enterprise Ireland said: “All relevant market information for new business start-ups on both sides of the border will be available under one roof. This is an excellent opportunity for all potential and expanding entrepreneurs in the northwest."
Free tickets for the Personal Enterprise Show are available to all members of the public, and can be obtained from the Ticketing Service at freephone 0808 127 0000.
