Man Held Over Dublin Drugs Find
A man in his 20s has been arrested in connection with a drug and weapon find in inner city Dublin.
The arrest took place on Tuesday at around 5pm, as part of an ongoing operation into the sale and supply of drugs in the south inner city area of Dublin. During the operation Gardaí in Kevin Street Garda Station searched a house on McCarthy's Terrace and seized a cannabis plant, cultivation equipment, and cannabis herb with a street value of approximately €5,000, subject to forensic analysis. Gardaí say a stun gun was also recovered.
The male in his late 20s was arrested and is currently detained at Kevin Street Garda Station under the Drug Trafficking Act.
A follow-up search was conducted at New Street on Wednesday and a number of rounds of ammunition were recovered.
A male in his early 50s was arrested and is currently detained at Kevin Street Garda Station also under the Drug Trafficking Act.

Two arrested following police raids
Two men have been arrested following police searches in north Belfast. Two handguns, ammunition, drugs worth an estimated street value of £27,000, documents and around £17,000 in cash, were seized during the raids, which are believed to be linked to organised crime in the city.

A 44-year-old man has been arrested following a drugs seizure in Millisle, Co Down. The drugs, worth an estimated street value of £18,000, were found following the search of a house in the Park Crescent area. A quantity of drugs-related paraphernalia was also discovered and a sum of cash.

A Newtownabbey man has been handed a custodial sentence for a series of drugs offences following police raids as part of a paramilitary probe. 49-year-old William Axon will serve two years imprisonment, half in custody and half on licence.
