iPhone 'Awakin The Titanic'
A new iPhone application supported by Invest NI and the European Regional Development Fund has been launched. The 'app' is the first to be developed with funding from the Northern Ireland Screen Product Development Fund.
'Titanifacts' application was developed by Awakin, a new digital publishing company and allows users to view the documentary 'Titanic Island'.
The documentary highlights the amazing engineering features that were taking place in Belfast over 100 years ago with contributions from key people including Dr Norman Apsley of NI Science Park and Una Reilly of The Belfast Titanic Society.
Managing Director of Awakin, John Bustard said: "This new iPhone application is a progression from our previous mobile digital experiences, such as the award winning Armoy Armada Digital Experience.
"We are particularly excited about the interest this project is opening up in the USA. We aim to highlight the creative capability that exists here, which is built on a very sound design and engineering prowess."
Version 1.0 has now been launched and is accessible via iTunes. Titanic fans can visit www.titanicdock.com
