Co-Ownership Housing sets up information website

Co-Ownership Housing has set up a new web site at www.co-ownership.org as a service for homebuyers and people who have already purchased their home through the Co-Ownership scheme.

Kevin Butler, Co-Ownership's Director, said the site offers clear, accessible information for people who are thinking of buying a home and not just Co-Ownership buyers.

He added: "The internet is now so convenient that some people prefer to surf the net to find out information instead of making phone calls or calling in person. The website complements our established freephone information service by offering extra features like the homebuyers calculator."

Visitors to the site can use this to work out the monthly repayments on the various types of mortgage on offer by varying the length of mortgage and the size of the Co-Ownership stake. They can also take a look at their step-by-step guide to buying and selling a home through the Co-Ownership scheme.

The site provides a variety of other services including a value limits map for property, publications that can be downloaded, answers to frequently asked questions and a number of useful links.

There is also a special advisers area for estate agents, valuers, financial advisers and solicitors involved with Co-Ownership.
