Jersey Venue For British-Irish Summit
The Taoiseach, Brian Cowen (pictured) and the Irish Republic's Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, Eamon Ó Cuiv will attend the 13th British-Irish Council Summit today in Jersey.
The meeting is being hosted by the Chief Minister of Jersey and will be attended by the council's Heads of Administration including Northern Ireland First Minister Peter Robinson and Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness. Also in attendance will be the Secretary of State for Wales, Peter Hain and Scotland's First Minister Alex Salmond, along with the Welsh First Minister, Rhodri Morgan.
Issues for discussion will include the economic situation, language issues and renewable energy matters.

Politicians Help 'Kick Hate Into Touch'
An innovative campaign, the 'Unite Against Hate' sporting weekend has been launched. Stormont First Minister Peter Robinson and his Junior Minister Gerry Kelly (pictured) joined forces to support the campaign which highlights all forms of hate crime and challenges people here to unite to stop it.

Prime Minister To Attend British-Irish Council Summit
Prime Minister Rishi Sunak will today attend the opening of the British-Irish Council Summit, the first UK Prime Minister to do so since 2007. The PM will join representatives from the Irish Government, UK Government, Devolved Governments and Crown Dependencies at the 38th summit in the North West of England.

Deputy First Minister To Attend British-Irish Council
Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness and Finance Minister Simon Hamilton are to join UK and Irish leaders on the Isle of Man for a meeting of the British-Irish Council. The council was established as part of the Good Friday Agreement and involves representatives from Ireland and all of the UK's devolved administrations.
