Ringing Up Derry Jobs

An Indian-owned outsourcing company that operates two centres in Belfast and Londonderry employing more than 1,000 people is to recruit 100 more employees at its Londonderry premises.

Firstsource, a telecommunications company, already employs about 900 people at the Northland Road site in Derry City, and is holding a recruitment day in the Tower Hotel on 22 October to discuss the range of new roles available.

US Firm To Create 1,000 In Belfast
Up to 1,000 new jobs are to be created in Belfast by US company Concentrix. The company, currently employing 800 people in the city, has announced an investment of £36m in a move that has been described as "excellent news for Northern Ireland".

Building Jobs Announced
Around 100 construction jobs at to be created at a Belfast housing development, it has been revealed. The McGinnis Group is set to construct the scheme on a site bought from the administrators of the bankrupt Taggart Holdings. The Saintfield Road development is expected to take up to two years to complete.

Nandos Creates Jobs In Cork
Restaurant chain Nando's is to create 28 jobs in Cork with the opening of its latest restaurant. The company already has four restaurants throughout the island of Ireland, employing 155 people. The new restaurant will be located on Mahon Link Road in Cork, and joins existing outlets in Dundrum, Swords and Belfast.

Pharmaceutical company to recruit 195 people in Sligo
Abbott Laboratories has concluded negotiations with IDA Ireland for a €55 million investment to establish a major new pharmaceuticals manufacturing facility in Sligo, which is set to employ 195 people.

SQS Announce 75 Additional Jobs
SQS has announced further expansion of its Irish operations, with the creation of an additional 75 jobs over the coming three years. Already employing over 200 people across its Dublin and Belfast operations, SQS is committed to increasing its workforce by over 35 per cent up to 2016.
