Husband Found Guilty Of Nisha Murder
The husband of a special constable has been found guilty of her murder.
Fadi Nasri, 34, has been found guilty of organising her murder alongside two other men to allegedly clear mounting debts. It was also reported he was engaging in an affair.
Twenty-nine-year-old Nisha Patel-Nasri bled to death after being stabbed at her home in Wembley, north London in May, 2006. It is undertood she was stabbed in the upper groin with a 13-inch knife from her own kitchen.
Rodger Leslie, 38, of Chesterfield Flats, Bells Hill, Barnet and Jason Jones, 36, of Hathaway Crescent, Manor Park, east London who were recruited to organise and carry out the killing have been found guilty at the Old Bailey. The jury took six days to return a majority verdict.
Meanwhile, a fourth defendant, Tony Emmanuel, 42, of Clements Road, East Ham, east London was cleared of murder. All denied the charges.
The court heard how Nasri - who ran a limousine business - wanted his wife dead to claim debts he had run up of over £100,000 on her £350,000 life insurance.
Reports say that Nasri had bought a £800,000 Hummer vehicle but this had got him into financial difficulty.
Nasri publicly appealed for information following his wife's death but shortly after moved into a flat with his mistress.
The three men have been remanded in custody and are due to be sentenced on June 20.
