Couples Counselling
All ACCORD NI counsellors are professionally trained in the specialism of couples and relationships counselling and, through the provision of a regularly revised, cutting-edge Continuing Professional Development programme, have regular access to the latest thinking in a range of associated areas of professional interest, such as:

• Working with the particular challenges presented by infidelity and its aftermath;
• The identification and handling of cases where domestic abuse is present;
• The complex challenges that emerge when diversity, in all its forms, plays a central role in challenging the stability of the couple relationship;
• The additional challenges which present within step/blended families.

ACCORD NI Marriage Preparation Programme
Accord NI’s Marriage Preparation Programme provides couples with an invaluable opportunity to step away from the hustle of wedding planning and concentrate on nurturing their relationship.
We want to empower you to recognize your strengths, while also offering you practical strategies to improve aspects of your relationship that might need attention. It’s a chance to get equipped for a lifetime of happiness together.

We also offer an inter-church programme tailored for couples of mixed faiths intending to marry within the Catholic Church. Each session is conducted by a priest, a minister from another faith, and two Accord facilitators.
The in person programme is delivered by professionally trained Accord facilitators, has presentations, workbook exercises and some group activities. Alternatively, our online programme offers flexibility, allowing couples to complete the 8 units at their own pace.
