About Shutter Gallery NI
Northern Ireland Plantation and Wooden Shutter specialists
The shutter gallery will turn your dreams into reality. Whatever your choice, be it the classic whites to the various wood stains or a match for your Farrow & Ball colour scheme, our bespoke Shutter Range will enrich your living experience.
Plantation or Solid Wooden Shutters in your home, not only create a timeless elegant statement, they also introduce a practicality with their ease of use.
The history of the shutter
Wooden Shutters are believed to have been first brought to the Americas by the colonising Spanish. Initially designed with a fixed open slat to let air circulate, they eventually found their way to the imposing elegant plantation houses of America's deep south, where the name Plantation Shutter derives. As time progressed shutters evolved with movable slats. This versatility enabled ventilation and sun deflection during the day when closed, heat retention and privacy at night.
Why Shutters?
Whether your house is contemporary or traditional, shutters blend and enhance your home's style and character with their elegance. They are a investment that never dates, such is their classic beauty.
Shutters are a safe and child friendly alternative dressing for windows.
With no loose or dangling pull or closing cords, the safety benefits are apparent.

Kinsale
Kinsale is an extremely lightweight hardwood. Its pale colour and beautiful rich grain, accepts stain to mimic any type of wood. An exquisitely beautiful grained wood even when painted.
The light weight also allows for larger Tier on Tier configurations.
Rathlin

Mainly used in commercial outlets but also an excellent option in homes where extra durability may be the preference. Currently available in 27 stain and paint options or add your own custom colour.
Holywood
The Holywood was designed to meet the demands of harsh environments typical in bathrooms and shower rooms. You can use it wherever you feel damp and steam would be an issue and greatly reduce the lifespan of normal wood shutters.

Fantastic service. A lovely gentleman. Thorough knowledge of products, samples available on home visit and quick quote. Kept in touch with emails. Fitted shutters perfectly and cleaned up after himself. I felt totally comfortable with allowing him to do his work, while I was alone in bed ill. I refer him to everyone, as they know I’m very picky.
Service always with a smile.
