We are pleased to offer as much information as possible to help you choose the perfect traditional Irish music package for your wedding. We can provide music for every part of your wedding day, including the ceremony, drinks reception, dinner and evening function.

The musicians of Davey Music have many years of experience performing at weddings throughout Northern Ireland, Ireland and beyond, our wedding music packages are completely flexible and customisable and will provide only the finest Irish traditional music for any (or every!) part of your wedding day. Our repertoire for the wedding ceremony is centred on a combination of liturgical and Irish traditional music, and we can also include light classical items. For the drinks reception we usually play a more upbeat selection, with a range of Irish traditional dance music, and songs, if required. Background music for the wedding dinner can create an elegant atmosphere and after dinner, our folk group 'Beyond the Pale' can entertain your guests with all the popular Irish folk and contemporary classics, vocal and instrumental, or, if you would like more audience participation, our céilí band 'The Blackstaff Céilí Band' can provide the music for all the favourite Irish céilí dances. Ceremony
Church Wedding Music Irish Church MusicFor your church ceremony, we can provide a full range of Irish traditional instruments, with female and male vocalists, everything from solo harp to a larger ensemble including harp, uilleann pipes, fiddle, flute, and whistle.

We can also provide an organist or pianist. Instruments and vocalists can be arranged into a variety of solo and ensemble combinations and a particular feature of our wedding packages is that many of our musicians are multi-instrumentalists - this means that if you book three players, for example, you will probably enjoy the sounds of more than three instruments!

Drinks Reception
Providing music during your drinks reception can create a special atmosphere for your guests, as they await your return from your photo session. We can provide the full range of traditional Irish instruments during this time, as well as female or male vocalists, everything from solo harp to a folk group. Solo harp or harp & flute will create a relaxing and intimate atmosphere, or if you would like something more lively, we can provide a larger group for a session of upbeat Irish traditional music, featuring a combination of guitar, flute, uilleann pipes, fiddle and more, with or without vocalist. We can also provide background music on piano if there is a suitable instrument available at the venue, or we can provide a piano if required.

Dinner and Evening
The provision of traditional Irish music as a background to your wedding dinner can add a special and elegant atmosphere to the event and is best provided by solo harp or piano, or a small instrumental group such as piano with flute & fiddle.

Tunes Of Note
Tunes of Note is a new and innovative service from Patrick Davey, through which you can commission an original piece of traditional Irish music to be performed on your wedding day. Patrick has been composing traditional Irish music from a very young age and many of his compositions are firmly established in the repertoires of musicians throughout Ireland and beyond. You could, for example, commission a new piece of traditional Irish music for your wedding ceremony such as a march to be played as you leave, or a waltz to be played for your first dance as a married couple! You could also let your guests know about this service, and it might well be the perfect answer to finding a unique wedding gift!

Corporate & Education
Davey Music also has an increasing portfolio of corporate events, and can provide a range of Irish traditional and classical musicians and singers for every possible event including conferences, product launches and hospitality events. A solo harp or piano can add an elegant touch to any event and for something a bit more energetic, ’The Blackstaff Folk Group & Céilí Band' can entertain the audience with the full range of Irish ballads and popular songs.

To encourage more guest participation, we can provide an authentic Irish or Scottish céilí experience with with an experienced caller who will get the guests up on the dance floor and guide them through all the steps. We also work with world-class Irish dancers to provide a complete and unforgettable evening of the very best Irish traditional entertainment. Recent corporate engagements have included providing music for a major radiology conference at the Ulster Folk & Transport Museum, for the Cancer Outcomes conference at Titanic Belfast, and during the recent Belfast Tall Ships Festival.
