Fire Crews Tackle Industrial Recycling Plant Fire
An industrial recycling plant in Omagh, Co Tyrone, is on fire, with more than 50 firefighters at the scene.
It is understood the fire broke out at RecyCo, on the Barony Road, Mountfield, in the early hours of Monday morning.
Local fire crews are being assisted by crews from Armagh and Portadown, the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) said.
NIFRS also appealed to the public to avoid the area to keep roads clear for emergency services.

Motorist dies in Co Armagh school bus crash
A man has died following a collision between a car and a school bus in Co Armagh this morning. The victim, named as Jason Davidson Murray, 26, from Shandon Park in Newry, died when his car collided with the bus at around 8.30am on the Tandragee Road outside Newry.

THE Northern Ireland Fire Service is to receive the first ever award given by the province's devolved assembly. An illuminated scroll is to be presented to Chief Fire Officer John McClelland on Tuesday, by assembly speaker Lord Alderdice in tribute to the sacrifice made by fire fighters over the years.

The Home Fire Safety Check coincides with Fire Safety Week, which runs from September 30th to October 6th. The initiative aims to reduce the number of house fires in Northern Ireland.

NI's Chief Fire Officer Announces His Retirement
The Chief Fire Officer for Northern Ireland, Peter Craig, has announced that he is to retire after over 35 years of distinguished Service. Peter Craig is one of the longest serving officers in Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service and was appointed as Chief Fire Officer in February 2011, having been the acting Chief from July 2010.
