Saturdays Turn Stormont Yellow For Cancer
Pop stars Una Healy and Rochelle Wiseman from The Saturdays were at Parliament Buildings at Stormont to help launch Marie Curie Cancer Care's Great Daffodil Appeal.
As the band's chosen charity for 2011, the girls were pictured with local Marie Curie Nurse Carmel McCullough as they helped turn Stormont a Daffodil yellow to raise awareness of Marie Curie's flagship fundraiser, which takes place throughout March.
Marie Curie Cancer Care has been turning iconic sites across the length and breadth of the UK yellow including Londonderry Civic offices which will illuminate for the whole month of March, Gateshead Millennium Bridge and the National Gallery of Scotland.
The Great Daffodil Appeal is the charity’s annual fundraiser and in Northern Ireland it aims to raise over £100,000.
Throughout March everyone in the region is encouraged to give a donation in return for a Marie Curie daffodil pin.
All money raised enables Marie Curie Nurses to provide more free care to people with a terminal illness in their own homes and the charity's hospices.
Daffodil pins can be picked up from local stores, schools, street collectors and from Marie Curie Shops. To find where you can get a daffodil pin in your local community please visit www.mariecurie.org.uk/daffodil

Belfast event plants 'hope' for cancer services
Representatives from business, entertainment and public life in Northern Ireland are pulling together in support of an appeal for Marie Curie Cancer Care today. The event, organised by Yellow Pages, saw representatives plant flowers at The Edge, Laganside, for the launch of this year's Marie Curie Cancer Care/Yellow Pages 'Fields of Hope'.

Kids To 'Get Hands Dirty' For Charity
Northern Ireland children have been urged to get their 'hands dirty' for Marie Curie Cancer Care. Youngsters from St Oliver Plunkett School helped the charity announce a last call to schools and youth groups across NI to sign up for its activity fundraisers that will raise much needed funds.
