Four men injured in 'feud' gun attack

Four men have been injured in a gun attack in Newcastle County Down in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The attack occurred at around 3am in the Burrendale Park Road area of Newcastle.

Police said that one man had been shot in the leg and three other men had received what were described as "superficial injuries".

It is understood that police are interested in the movements of a Nissan Terrano in the area at the time of the incident.

It is understood that the incident may have been the result of an ongoing feud.

Petrol Bomb Thrown At Police Vehicle In Co Antrim
Two masked men threw a petrol bomb at a police vehicle in Co Antrim. The attack happened in the Castlemara Drive area in Carrickfergus at around 2.20am on Sunday, 29 May. The bomb hit the vehicle, however no damage was caused. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Man recovering in hospital following paramilitary-style attack
A 23-year-old man is recovering in hospital after being shot in the leg in a paramilitary-style attack in Co Down. The incident happened at around 1.30pm on Saturday on the Abbotts Road in Newtownards. Police said the victim had tried to run away when he saw four men pull up alongside him in a red Ford Escort car.

Two Men Arrested Over Bomb Attack On Police Released
Two men arrested in connection with a bomb attack on police in Strabane, Co Tyrone, have been released. A device exploded in the Townsend street area on Tuesday, 21 March, and the officers were "extremely lucky to escape injury", according to the PSNI. The men, aged 20 and 31, were released unconditionally. The investigation is ongoing.

Man shot five times in paramilitary-style attack
A 43-year-old man has been treated in hospital for gun shot wounds following a paramilitary-style attack in south Belfast early this morning. The incident occurred shortly before 3am at a house in Kimberly Street. A number of men forced their way into the house and shot their victim five times, twice in each leg and once in the arm.
