Shop assistant held at gunpoint during robbery
Police in south Belfast are appealing for information following a robbery at a supermarket in the city centre on Sunday afternoon.
At around 1.30pm a member of staff in an Iceland store at Castle Street was confronted in a rear office by a man armed with a handgun.
The gunman demanded cash before tying up the staff member with cable and leaving the building through a rear door to Divis towards the Clonard area of the city.
The man is described as being in his late thirties, around 5’8 tall of medium build with a swarthy complexion. He was wearing dark clothing, glasses and a grey coloured wig and was unshaven.

Man Dies After Bus Fall In Belfast
Detectives are investigating the death of an 80-year-old man who fell from a bus in Belfast. Police have said that they believe the man was travelling on a 2J Translink Metro bus service at around 11:15am on Friday, 08 November, when he suffered a fall as the bus travelled along Royal Avenue, near it's junction with North Street.

PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information after a report of an attempted robbery at a fast food takeaway in north Belfast in the early hours of Tuesday, July 25th. It was reported that at around 1.45am a man, armed with a knife, entered a premises in the Clifton Street area and demanded money from a member of staff.

Man Armed With Hurley Bat Robs Bar In Dunmurry
Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery at a bar in the Dunmurry area in the early hours of Monday morning. The incident occurred at premises on the Glenburn Road at approximately 12.30am. A masked man, armed with a hurley bat, threatened and demanded money from a female staff member. He made off with a sum of cash.
